Delighted this week as we have been able to let the chickens out again after being cooped up over winter due to the governments directive over Avian Flu - got to me honest they have not liked it and not got on well with each other . I definately know where the term pecking order comes from !
We are delighted to be mentioned in The Leicester Mercury this week as a destination for a staycation in the Leicester /Rutland area. We are listed among some great places to stay so feel proud to be chosen to sit alongside them.
We are spring cleaning the landscape this week removing dead branches , brambles from around the lakes and starting to tackle the stream to allow the new growth to come through . Mark & Logan stained the new benches we have near the chicken shed so you have plenty of outside space to sit and have a coffee with us now that you are allowed out ......
We had an unusual visitor on the fields behind the house at breakfast - a huge white swan , by lunchtime it had found the lakes. It
made the geese look tiny!

Love this update! It’s so heartwarming to hear the chickens finally got their freedom—after being cooped up all winter, I can only imagine the chaos (and the pecking order drama!). this was a very engaging and thoughtful post. I really enjoyed the way everyday experiences were described with such honesty and detail. It reminds readers how small moments in life can shape our understanding and personal growth. Reading content like this also makes me think about practical learning methods, such as Memory Techniques that help people reflect and retain meaningful experiences. As a student, I find these kinds of perspectives valuable, especially when trying to balance studies and real-life insights. Sometimes, while working on academic tasks like Help With Business…
This was an interesting and reflective read. The storytelling felt natural and relatable, making it easy to imagine the moments being described. I appreciate how the author focused on small details that often go unnoticed in everyday life. It shows how powerful simple observations can be when they are shared honestly. Reading posts like this also reminds me of the importance of organising thoughts, similar to how Memory Techniques help students retain ideas effectively. While working on my studies and occasionally looking for Help With Business Assignment, content like this provides a refreshing perspective and a thoughtful break
Love this update! It’s so heartwarming to hear the chickens finally got their freedom—after being cooped up all winter, I can only imagine the chaos (and the pecking order drama!). Spring really seems to be bringing everything back to life, from the new growth by the lakes to the freshly stained benches - perfect spots for a coffee and some fresh air, and reading this made me wish I had a bit of assignment writing help to capture all the details as vividly.
Also, congrats on being featured in The Leicester Mercury! That’s such a lovely recognition, and it makes sense - anyone visiting would enjoy the combination of peaceful scenery, happy chickens, and even a majestic swan surprise. Posts…
What a lovely update! It’s wonderful to see the chickens enjoying freedom again and the landscape coming back to life. Your spring preparations sound so peaceful—I can imagine sitting by the lakes on those new benches. Updates like this remind me of the value of reflection and community, much like what we experience in our Online Bible Study Ministry.
The way you share the story, photos, and joy of welcoming those chickens is truly heartwarming. It evokes a sense of community and simplicity that is uplifting. It even brings to mind a friend from an online class who humorously mentioned the idea of hiring a real estate exam taker for hire during stressful exam periods.
